Among the honourees were business titans Seán Quinn, Billy Hastings, Sir George Quigley, groundbreaking companies Aer Arann, Viridian and Biznet Solutions, sports bodies the Ulster GAA, Dunfield and Rally Ireland, cultural groups Bunscoil an Iúir, the Ballymacarrett Arts and Cultural Society, and the Arts and Disability Forum, entrepreneurial ventures Digital Media Works, Tyrone-Donegal Partnership and the Newry and Dundalk Markets, as well as trade unionist Inez McCormack, TG4, ex-prisoners’ groups Coiste and PREP, the Cross-Border Orchestra and the oyster farmers of Carlingford.
